Buhera District Coodinating Committee secretary for local government member, Freddy Chimbari, has come to the rescue of people in his district by assisting in road rehabilitation.
Chimbari, last week, brought a grader and operators who made the 50 kilometre stretch from Birchnough Bridge to Murambinda accessible.
The gesture was well accepted by people in Buhera South constituency saying it goes well with the second Republic motto on roads, which says road rehabilitation kilometer by kilometer.
Jonathan Madziturira said Chimbari’s gesture shows good leadership qualities because he has made transport business very viable.
“We appreciate this development in our area by cde Chimbari he has made transport industry very viable hence that is good leadership he is showing us here,” Madziturira said.
Hardlife Munamati added that the road was badly damaged and it took Chimbari’s hand to bring transport industry back.
“This road was badly damaged and our leader Chimbari has taken it upon himself to help our constituency.”
Chimbari said he is going it for his hommies since he comes from Buhera.
“This is my rural home so we all use this road, hence it is everyone’s responsibility to see to it that this road is accessible, ” Chimbari said.
