Zanu-PF ‘s perceived absolute destruction of opposition splinter groups has become a testimony that the legacy of former trade unionist cum politician, Morgan Tsvangirai still haunts the former liberation movement, Senator Morgan Komichi has claimed.

Responding to allegations and narratives that Zanu-PF has managed to dismantle opposition and left it in tatters, Komichi has strongly rubbished the claims as poor analytical judgements driven from analysts with vested interests in receiving freebie’s who are on the ruling party’s payroll to distort Morgan Tsvangirai’s legacy.

“Those are the claims of analysts who are on Zanu-PF payroll and with insatiable quest to join the looting spree. The opposition movement (after the death of President Morgan Richard Tsvangirai) has never faded, but otherwise it is at its strongest now,” Komichi said.

Moreover, “In fact, the late Tsvangirai’s spirit is roaring from the grave. Zanu-PF is suffering and has sleepless nights in trying to dilute the legacy and its a non-event,” Komichi added.

Furthermore, “Some circles are made to believe that Zanu-PF managed to completely destroy the opposition in Zimbabwe as evidenced by the current situation. The current situation has left the masses being the victims here,” Komichi said.

Komichi claimed that opposition leaders have shown a high degree of selfishness to an extent that they are putting their personal interests first at the expense of national interests.

“The opposition members are disillusioned, desperate, hopeless and are looking for a political home. Whatever Zanu-PF did, it could be a blessing in disguise for the continuous revival of MDC which actually went into oblivion with the discord which was existing amongst splinter groups,” Komichi added.

More so, “It has become so clear that opposition people from various MDC splinters are now looking for each other. The call to unite under the legacy of President Tsvangirai is growing in leaps and bounds,” Komichi claims.

The opposition has been on a splitting renegade that has led critics to accuse it of holding selfish interests that fall short of the majority’s suffering.
