HARARE – ZANU-PF’s Harare Provincial Political Commissar, Voyage Dambuza, has made headlines for his remarkable efforts and capacity in mobilising supporters to attend inter-district post-conference feedback engagement meetings across the province.

According to internal reports and confirmation by some party’s national leadership, Dambuza has been commented for successfully convincing large crowds to participate in these meetings, marking a significant achievement for the party.
“Though to some extent the results are perceived to be complemented by President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Elder Doctor Kudakwashe Tagwirei, Dambuza has become a name which should not be left out in terms of mobilising masses through identifying realities which urban masses are confined to. As a provincial commissar in an area mainly known to be opposition strongholds, Dambuza managed to turn political rhetoric into reality and that is one of the major traits of a political commissar,” the member said.
“Dambuza’s ability to connect with diverse audiences, understand their concerns and articulate ZANU-PF’s vision under the able-leadership of President Mnangagwa has been key to the success. He has also prioritise listening to local issues, building trust and address community needs on behalf of the party which helps in countering opposition strongholds through these grassroots engagements,” the member added.
“He taps into energy and potential of young people and women whilst fostering political loyalty and activism on behalf of his masters, Mnangagwa, provincial leadership and Tagwirei. Though operating in challenging environments, Dambuza adjusts strategies to fit local contexts using a legion of artistes whose musical texts also ensure that ZANU-PF’s message resonates with their fans and local supporters,” the member added.
Dambuza’s efforts are part of ZANU-PF’s broader strategy to strengthen its grassroots presence and engage with local communities. As the party’s Harare provincial political commissar, he has been instrumental in promoting President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision for national development and encouraging party members to work towards achieving this goal.
In recent months, Dambuza has been actively involved in various party activities, including the ‘Fishers of Men’ initiative, which aims to recruit new members and empower youths and women. His leadership has been credited with boosting party membership and fostering a sense of unity among supporters.
While Dambuza’s achievements have been widely praised, there have also been allegations of controversy surrounding his leadership style and campaign strategies. Some critics have accused him of using divisive tactics, although these claims have not been substantiated.
Despite these challenges, Dambuza remains a prominent figure in ZANU-PF’s Harare province, and his ability to mobilise supporters has earned him recognition within the party.
