The Ambassador of the State of Palestine, H.E. Tamer Almassri, has strongly condemned the renewed Israeli military assault on Gaza, describing it as a continuation of a genocidal campaign that has led to horrific massacres in full view of the international community.
The latest attacks have claimed the lives of over 350 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are women and children.
Ambassador Almassri denounced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to resume military operations, calling it a desperate move to maintain power amid internal political crises and corruption allegations—at the cost of Palestinian lives.
“These brutal massacres committed by the Israeli occupation army reaffirm that this occupation knows only the language of killing, destruction and premeditated intent to continue committing genocide against children and women as well as displacing Palestinians from their land”, Ambassador Almassri explained.
Ambassador Almassri emphasizes that the continuation of this genocide comes amid the occupation’s ongoing policy of mass starvation against more than 2.4 million people in Gaza since the start of this war of extermination. The occupation systematically uses siege, border closures, and the cutting off of food supplies as a weapon of war to subjugate Palestinian people, in a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, which criminalizes the use of starvation as a weapon against civilians.
He reaveled that the State of Palestine reaffirms that military aggression and destruction will not break the Palestinian people’s will. Despite relentless attacks, Palestinians will continue their struggle against occupation and refuse to surrender their land or their rights.
In light of these grave developments, Ambassador Almassri urges the international community, the United Nations, the Security Council, and human rights organizations to act immediately. He calls for concrete measures to halt the massacres, end the aggression against civilians, and hold Israeli leaders accountable in international courts. The world cannot remain silent in the face of ongoing atrocities—it must intervene to prevent further loss of innocent lives.
