Zimbabwean Sungura maestro, Alick ‘Baba Shero’ Macheso, has vowed to wow his UK diaspora fans when he takes the stage later this month at the Athena in Leicester.
The show which is scheduled for the 29th will see Macheso performing alongside Tocky Vibes and Kurai Makore, with entertainment analysts tipping the event to be a show not to miss.
The show which comes the as UK winds down a hot sumer is set to light up Leicester with Macheso promising a spectacular performance.
Speaking exclusively to this publication, Macheso’s Manager, Tich Makahamadze, said, “As you know, we are the people’s band. Expect nothing short of fireworks as usual; be ready to witness a polished performance, and call for all the diaspora fans to come in their numbers.”
The show, which comes at a time many Zimbabwean gigs are scheduled for the same weekend, as Nutty O will be launching his album in Wolverhampton a night after the Legends Night performance in the same venue, shows Zimbabweans’ healthy appetite for home entertainment.
