BINDURA – Bindura municipal police officer Jonathan Musoni (49), has appeared before a Bindura Magistrate facing assault charges.
The State represented by Ms Runyararo Chikaka alleges that on 23 October 2026 at around 0800 hours at Chitabura Complex, Musoni tripped vendor Manditambidzwanashe Mutomba (26) causing her to fall.
Mutomba of Garikai stands in Bindura suffered a swollen face and a bruised right knee. Musoni allegedly fled after bystanders questioned him.
He was granted $50 bail and remanded to 11 November 2026 for trial.
