TRADITIONAL healer, Peter Chingudzi, popularly known as Sekuru Nyangatayani, has expanded his healing work beyond Zimbabwe’s borders after recently visiting Botswana, where he says he attended to scores of people seeking traditional healing.
Nyangatayani, who is based in Glendale, said his Botswana visit was successful, with many people turning up to seek his services.
He said the overwhelming response had encouraged him to continue taking his work across the region.
“I would like to sincerely thank the people of Botswana for inviting me and for the support and trust they showed during my visit. I am humbled by the reception I received and by the number of people who came seeking my services,” Nyangatayani said.
The Botswana visit is part of Nyangatayani’s growing regional outreach, having previously travelled to Mozambique to offer his traditional healing services.
He is now set to travel to Malawi, where he is expected to continue with his traditional healing work and meet people seeking his services.
Nyangatayani said his regional visits were also an opportunity to share Zimbabwean traditional knowledge and strengthen relations between communities across borders.
“I believe our traditional knowledge can bring people together. Wherever I go, my mission is to serve people and share what I know while respecting the traditions and cultures of the communities I visit,” he said.
Beyond traditional healing, Nyangatayani has also been involved in community initiatives, including supporting education and assisting less privileged people in his home area.
After Malawi, his international outreach is expected to continue, with China lined up as another destination on his growing itinerary.
The traditional healer last year visited China and sold Zimbabwean herbs at an expo in Asia.
