Two students and a caretaker from the Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) in Bindura were robbed by seven robbers after midnight.

Tapiwa Museva (23), Tanyaradzwa Muzivi(22) and a caretaker Lybert Tapfuma (23) were allegedly robbed of their mobile phones , laptops and electrical gadgets.

Acting Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha confirmed the case.

“I can confirm that the trio was robbed on September 10 and the police are still investigating the matter,” Chikasha said.

Allegations are that the seven stormed at a house in Brookdale, Bindura, were the trio were sleeping and tied them with ropes before robbing them.

The yet to be identified robbers were opening each and every door in the house and some alert students heard them and shouted for help.

After the shout the suspects took to their heels and fled the scene, no arrest has been made of yet.
