The ruling ZANU PF has chosen to ignore Tapiwa “Maselo pabeat” Jera a prominent music producer who has produced many songs and jingles for the party.
Maselo who has been in the music industry for more than a decade has produced music for musicians who are aligning themselves to the party.
The musicians include Diana Samukange, Andy Muridzo, Chief Hwenje, honourable Tawaz, Gushungo, baba Troy, baba Harare, Sulumani Chimbetu among others.
Most of the musicians above have been called to ZANU PF rallies and have been given remuneration.
Some of the musicians have been given cars by the flamboyant businessman Sir Wicken Chivhayo.
What is more disturbing is that producers who have not produced a single party song like Tadex, Levels Ghost magician among other are being called to ZANU PF rallies at the expense of Maselo.
Music lovers have questioned why Maselo is being left out.
“Maselo is a renowned producer who produced a lot of music that is being played at ZANU PF rallies why is he being left out yet some producers are being called and getting remuneration?” Asked John Garwe.
Another music lover said ZANU PF should be fair to those who work hard.
“It is not a secret that Maselo did a lot of recommendable work for the party through jingles and songs that support the ruling party,” added Sarah Gumigora.
Maselo refused to comment on the issue.
Efforts to contact ZANU PF commissar Munyaradzi Machacha were fruitless.
