Mlowe primary school teacher Thembo Khethiwe was slapped with a $200 fine after she assaulted a colleague over a pit.
The fourty-nine year old teacher was convicted by Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
Failure to pay the fine by December 31 will earn the convict one month in prison.
The court heard that on November 11, Khetiwe had a misunderstanding with her colleague Siluma Gcinani (31) over a pit.
Khethiwe then slapped Gcinani once on the face.
She filed a police report leading to the arrest of Khethiwe.
