MAGUNJE – In a passionate new year’s address, Sekuru Banda has called on all Zimbabweans to rally behind President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030 and National Development Strategy 2, citing the government’s transformative achievements.
Speaking in Magunje (Mashonaland West), Banda praised Mnangagwa’s leadership, highlighting improvements in infrastructure, youth empowerment and economic resilience despite sanctions.
“President Mnangagwa is Godly chosen to lead us at this time,” Banda declared while urging citizens to support the administration’s vision.
Banda pointed to flagship projects like the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport and modern roads as proof of progress.
He also emphasised Zimbabwe’s potential as the “Breadbasket of Africa,” citing growth in mining, agriculture, and tourism.
“The President has made it clear: Zimbabwe is open for business and this is a true testament especially given that we have just transitioned from National Development Strategy 1 into the second phase, National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2),” he said, urging unity in support of Mnangagwa’s agenda.
