There was drama at Phumuza South Village, Plumtree, where Robert Ncube allegedly assaulted his mother with a stick for not inviting him to a lobola function.
The violent Ncube assaulted Joyce Ndlovu, saying she only invited her relatives to eat meat.
Ncube appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware who granted him $50 bail.
The state alleged on December 13 last year, the accused was at her mother’s house where there was a lobola function.
Ncube accused his mother of inviting only her relatives to eat meat while sidelining him and his relatives.
He picked a stick and insulted his mother before attacking her.
A police report was filed leading to his arrest.
