Popular Glendale based traditional healer Sekuru “Peter Chingudzi” Nyangatayani stole the limelight at Glendale agricultural show yesterday.
The sangoma was welcomed with joy by farmers and he had time for photos with them.
Deputy speaker of Parliament Tsitsi Gezi was a guest of honour at the event where she encouraged farmers especially women to continue work hard.
“We are happy that a number of people have come to exhibit your produce and women constitute the majority here so l urge you to keep working hard for your families,” Gezi said.
Gertrude Seiriri popularly known as Mai Dongo was the overall winner.
Addressing farmers Sekuru Nyangatayani said he was organising a thanks giving ceremony in Glendale for the rains and inputs.
“We are happy that God gave us rains and most of you here have harvested well so l am inviting you to a thanks giving ceremony (bira) on a date to be advised so that our ancestors and God keeps on giving us rains,” Nyangatayani said.
He also thanked the show organisers for recognising them in the national food security programmes.
