Over 180 Palestinian journalists have been killed in the ongoing Gaza war.
This was revealed by Palestinian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Tamer Almassri at the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People at the solidarity event held recently.
“The Israeli apatheid forces have killed 186 Palestinian journalists.This is the biggest number that has been recorded in a single war,” Ambassador Tamer Almassri.
He added that 35 hospitals which were in Gaza were bombed leaving only two functional.
The Ambassador said he was not reading much into the ICC warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ousted war minister over war crimes in Gaza.
“Its just a nonentity because we have seen the double standards before and Israeli wont be punished for these war crimes.Its just to hoodwink us,”added Almassri.
Since the war erupted in October 2023, the death toll now stands at around 45 000.
The international day of solidarity was attended by Women Writers Support Network – Africa, World Day of Prayer Church, and the Coalition Against Economic Sanctions (CAES) and former energy minister Fortune Chasi.
