Renowned traditional healer Sekuru Nyangatayani, also known as Peter Chingudzi, brought Christmas cheer to disadvantaged members of the Mazowe District on Christmas Day. He donated Christmas hampers and gifts to the visually impaired, disabled, elderly, widows, widowers, and orphans, emphasizing the importance of leaders giving back to their communities.

Scores of beneficiaries gathered at Tsungubvi hall, Glendale to get their gifts on Christmas day.

“It’s a duty of leaders, including traditional healers, to give back to communities, especially the differently able-bodied members,” Sekuru Nyangatayani said.

Beneficiaries were overwhelmed with gratitude, with Gogo Mlambo expressing her appreciation: “This is a wonderful surprise, thank you Sekuru Nyangatayani for remembering us.”

Sekuru Magora, another beneficiary, echoed similar sentiments: “Your generosity has brought joy to our hearts, may God bless you.”

Gogo London, who received a hamper, said: “This will help us put food on the table, thank you Sekuru Nyangatayani.”

Willard Pemhiwa, a visually impaired beneficiary, appreciated the gesture: “This is a kind act, may God bless you abundantly.”

Richard Mapfumo, District Chair of people living with disabilities in Mazowe District, praised Sekuru Nyangatayani’s efforts: “This initiative shows that our community cares, we’re grateful for his kindness”.
