Manicaland residents are highly sceptical of Rev Obidiah Msindo’s return in the region with another controversial housing programme , this follows his alleged disappearance years ago from the same community leaving stranded clients who had paid him thousands of dollars anticipating his return which never was .
A senior partner at Destiny for Afrika Network,Mr Masokovere in Manicaland remained on the ground since then cleansing the mess. It is reported that upon realizing the positive progression , the cunning Reverend hatched a plan to syphon cash from the unsuspecting clientele. Residents woke up to see a notice by Rev Msindo inviting residents of Manicaland to reach out residential stands not withstanding the fact that the city is still wounded from losses suffered under his leadership just a few years ago.
Residents have questioned his motive of seemingly wanting residence to even by-pass his Destiny Office and want to stage up a street meeting suggesting he has brought new ideas. The Destiny For Afrika Mutare office Chairman ,Mr Wilson Masokovere, urged members of the community to be careful and must seek guidance with their office before they lose their hard earned cash. Their office is open to professionally assist should there be any home seekers and those seeking more information. He affirmed that as Destiny for Africa Network Mutare they will not be responsible for any losses attained in street deals . Residents are therefore warned accordingly.
What has remained a big question is why now has this Clergy decided to fly in the city ,set up some temporary structure and try to claim the legitimacy of the same office he ran away from leaving homeseekers stranded
“If Mfundisi is clear, why hasn’t he met us in the original Destiny For Afrika office where we actually later got stands and offer letters .
“Some of us we have already built houses now we hear Msindo is back asking people to recognize his new set up structure which is a few metres away from the main office of Destiny. We feel robbed ,this man must tell us what happened with people’s monies first before trying to repeat what he did before,” fumed one resident by the name Matshuma.
It is still not clear what the controversial clergy is eying in the Eastern Highlands ,what is evidently clear is that people have more questions than answers over his moves hence the open resistance.
