The Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Hon Felix Mhona has officially opened one kilomitre rehabilitated Harare Drive Extension road from Southerton Police Station to to Simon Mazorodze roundabout popularly known as paChinzou in Harare today.

Speaking at the ceremony which graced by Harare Province political leadership led by Chairman Goodwills Masimirembwa and Minister Of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan Province Mr Charles Tavengwa, parliamentarians and senior government officials,Hon Mhona said the Second Republic ably led by President ED Munangagwa is in full throttle it’s quest to rehabilitate hitherto neglected roads to ensure flawless trafficability.

“We are here today at the extension of Harare Drive where you have seen that we have actually dualised this section.The essence of this project is to make sure that we promote trafficability of our people in this great city,” he said.

Hon Mhona added that this work is testament to the good work that the 2nd Republic under the stewardship of President ED Munangagwa is doing.

“Above all, I want to give thanks to the Almighty for affording us this time to showcase what the 2nd Republic under the leadership of His Excellency Cde Dr Emmerson Munangagwa is doing,” said the workaholic Mhona.

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development has embarked on a nation-wide holistic drive to rehabilitate all urban council controlled roads and this noble initiative has begun with Harare Province.
