Prominent Glendale traditional healer, Sekuru Nyangatayani born Peter Chimbizi, splashed US dollars on stage at Shamwari Joe hotel in Mvurwi on Friday as King of Sungura, Alick Macheso played.

The traditional healer who is Macheso’s staunchy supporter always dishes money to Macheso and his band members when they play his old tunes in his presence.

Sekuru Nyangatayani is also an upcoming artiste who claim’s to get notes from the King of Sungura.

“Macheso is my mentor as l am an upcoming Sungura artiste, so when ever he plays his old tunes l am pushed to give him money and his band as a way of appreciation,” he said.

He further claimed that he got his inspiration from Tongai Moyo and he thanked Macheso for taking up the late Moyo’s son Peter to some of his shows.

” I was inspired by the late Tongai Moyo and to date l appreciate Macheso because he is taking Sungura to greater heights as you can see today he came with Peter that shows love,” sekuru Nyangatayani added.

Meanwhile, suspected thieves tried to break Macheso’s car but his security was alert and chased after the thieves.

Macheso confirmed the incident on stage.

“Some thieves tried to break my car at the back yard but the security was high alert so we are safe here,” bellowed Macheso.

Meanwhile, Shamwari Joe proprietor Barbra Mukombwe was in cloud nine after getting a full house.

” I would like to thank everyone who came to the show, it was just superb we hope to meet again soon,” Mukombwe said.
