Mashonaland Central province division two side Centenary United is geared to be promoted into the ZIFA Division One as it has gained it’s winning formula.

After missing Division one league with only five points to their neighbours Zambezi football club which was promoted last season, United is taking every game,seriously with the intention of getting promoted.

The team has played six games so far and won four, drew one and lost one leaving them on Second position two points behind log leaders, Forester Football Club.

This Sunday Centenary United will play fourth placed Mazowe Pirates and they are looking for nothing short of victory.

The club chairperson Patrick Banda is confident of getting promoted this season.

“We are definitely going to top the league this season, our Sunday game is going to be a moral booster because definitely we are going to collect points in Mazowe, ” vowed Banda.

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen if Centenary United gets promoted and if their neighbour Zambezi survives relegation in Northern region Division one as they are currently anchoring the log.
