Buhera South Member of Parliament, Ngonidzashe Mudekunye, was dragged to court after he assaulted a female guard at Birchnough Bridge.

Mudekunye is yet to appear at Chimanimani magistrates Courts after he assaulted Prettymore Kasiya.

According to state papers,  on January 18, Mudekunye arrived at Birchnough Bridge driving his vehicle and ordered Kasiya to allow the truck that was behind him to pass without weigh Bridge documents.

Kasiya refused, and Mudekunye became furious before assaulting her with open hands.

Kasiya was left writhing in pain and bleeding.

She filed a police report, and Mudekunye was taken in cells by Mutare police while in leg irons.

However, Mudekunye is not new to controversy as he has a record of disrupting party events that do not favour him and assaulting people in Buhera.
