A man from Mphoeng is assisting police with investigations after he allegedly assaulted his step daughter for turning his love proposal down.
Trust Chinandoro (34) allegedly assaulted his 17 year old step daughter with open hands.
The matter came to light at Plumtree magistrates Court where he appeared before Joshua Nembaware.
Nembaware remanded the suspect in custody to January 26.
The state led by Sheila Nyathi alleged sometime in November last year Chinandoro proposed love to his step daughter and he was turned down.
Days later he called the complainant and asked her why she turned him down.
He was refrained from further assaulting the complainant by his wife.
