A midnight suspected thief was nabbed after he allegedly stole a cellphone valued at $100.

Malven Chikomo was dragged to Plumtree magistrates courts yesterday where he appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware.

Nembaware granted him $50 bail.

Prosecutor Sheila Nyathi alleged on December 21 last year Chikomo armed him self with a metal pick during midnight and went to Netiwe Chingwa’s house.

Upon arrival he saw the door locked and broke it with the pick.

He got and in and stole a Samsung phone before disappearing.

A police report was filed and investigations led to the arrest of Chikomo.
