The Minister of Defence, Chairman of ZANU PF, Manicaland based legislator and acclaimed freedom fighter, Minister Muchinguri-Kashiri officially opened a girls dormitory courtesy of a Ministry of Defence CSR partnership with the Church of Christ owned Knowe Mission School in Murehwa.
“The Minister of Defence Honourable O.C.Z Muchinguri-Kashiri today commissioned a girls dormitory at Nhowe Mission.” A statement by the Country’s Ministry of Information said.
Furthermore, “The school belongs to the Church of Christ and it is in ward 24 of Murewa district.The girls’ hostel was constructed by artisans from the Ministry of Defence. Funding came from Beit Trustees and the local community led by the School Development Committee.” The Ministry of information said on its official watsapp update.
“The new dormitory accommodates 40 girls and this will help to empower the girl child and also to address gender imbalances in recruiting new students.”
Moreover, “This is a part of the military’s role in supporting development in the country besides ensuring peace and stability.” The statement highlighted.
The kind gesture follows similar Corporate Social Responsibility ventures that the Zimbabwe Ministry of Defence through its force, units as parastatals have completed and commenced a number of projects as part of their CSR projects
